The FAIRGROUNDS Plein Air

The Plein Air competition was fun to partipate in this year, at the Pleasanton / Alameda Fairgrounds. Last year the temperature was at triple digits, this year a cool 80 something :) with a nice breeze. I planted myself down under the tarps next to the stage near the Wine and Beer Garden. This year I chose to create a smaller painting, so I would have a better chance at finishing, and I did. No prize, but that's not really my goal (althought I wouldn't turn it away). A fellow artist that joined me won 2nd prize! Mahesh part of my ACC / Art Critique & Coffee group, while last year Loralee Chapleau another fellow artist of ACC won 3rd Prize. Who ever joins me next year should win 1st prize right ?! Stands to reason ;)
