Developing Themes in my work is a challenge that I take on gladly. When I found that I would be exhibiting at a Wine Tasting Room I felt compelled to create a theme specifically for them. Layered with Color, Embedded paper, Painted details and Translucent beeswax, this Encaustic painting comes to life.
After layers of wax have been added and bonded together with heat, I've added layers of wax in a 3D form on the surface. This process is called Encaustic Accretion.
