Painting in a Public Setting

Today meeting a couple of Artist Friends, we painted in front of the Pleasanton Library. Inside I have set up a Window Display with samplings of our work, giving an opportunity for the public to participate and learn about the artists, by attending our Art Critiques on Fridays. While painting, many people approached me and chatted about my work and there was real joy there. A couple of people took my picture and said that I made their day. What is better than that? Being able to bring a smile and a positive moment in someone elses day, made my day too ~ Don't be shy, talk to people and smile. Break the barrier down that divides the Artist from the Public. If you listen and take the time, you might gain more than a moment of painting.
